DH2 @ DCAC

The DC Arts Center "Wallmountables" show opens tomorrow (June 29, 2018, 7-9pm) in Adams Morgan -- come check it out! DJH & DXH both have work in the show, as does Friend of the Collective Lori Walsh-Van Wey (http://opulenttarnish.com/). The show will be up through August 10th. Details at DCArtsCenter.org.

Bxiie - Points of Contention Prototype

Last weekend I participated in a 'regional burn', a Burning Man-related event called Playa del Fuego held in Pennsylvania.  I assembled a prototype of a new work, Points of Contention.

The piece is constructed of 360 2x2x48 pieces of wood, fifteen metal tubes, and a few willow and birch branches.

Eve Neon

Nice profile on the neon & found object art of Eve Hoyt:

Off Season, On?

I haven't been making art. It's been winter, and there were Things To Do. Starting to get that itch, though. Equinoctal urges?

Witness

Filthyhippie and I (Bxiie) have created a multimedia installation under the auspices of EFAC.  The piece is called Witness and explores the subjective nature of narrative and experience.

I Shaved My Leg.

Far from the most interesting thing that EFAC members have been up to recently, but it is a thing I am personally qualified / cleared to share...

Notre November Writing Month

DJH is in the Aerie; 50,000 new words by December?! But there aren't any new words. And these are the only letters I have to work with? Even the "Q" is trite. #amwriting #unpossible #cromulent
