smells like burning

The air quality is "Code Purple" in DC today (240, "very unhealthy") due to Canadian wildfires. You can't tell they are Canadian. Atmosphere doesn't observe borders.

I am indoors, tiny window AC blaring, putting the finishing touches on my things for this year's DCAC "WallMountables" community art show -- drilling, gluing, trying to think up names.

New sculptural assemblage -- salvaged glass, rat bones, rusty
barbed wire, petale-mache... the usual. But what to call it?

The show opens Friday, July 24th and closes Friday, August 21st (Wed-Sun, 2 to 7 p.m.) at 2438 18th St. NW in Adams Morgan. The renovated gallery space is gorgeous, and despite being unjuried, this show always has some amazing work in it! It's like a tiny Artomatic. Come and see!
